HSOB SPORTS CLUB PRIZEGIVING
HSOB Sports Club Prizegiving is being held this Saturday night at the HSOB club rooms on Anzac Street for all HSOB Sports Club members, partners, friends and family. The theme this year is Black and White - formal wear, black and white clothing, or come in a costume that fits the black and white theme.
Tickets $10 at the door which includes a light supper, with prize giving from 7.30.

The Tairawhiti Positive Ageing Trust invite you to a meeting this Wednesday afternoon from 2.30 at Council Chambers to discuss the potential to drive a Know Your Neighbour Campaign in this region early next year.
The idea is for "buy-in" from across the community prior to launch.

ARTHRITIS
The Arthritis Annual Appeal this year will focus again on the difficulties that many people with arthritis are faced with everyday. If it affected you, could you handle it?
The Appeal will run from the 21st til the 28th of this month, with the National Street Collection Day on Friday the 24th.

HSOB SQUASH JUNIORS QUIZ NIGHT
HSOB Squash is holding a Juniors Quiz Night next Saturday night from 6 at the HSOB Clubrooms.
The night is a fundraiser for the NZ Junior Nationals in Christchurch later this year.

HB Williams Memorial Library is runing the 'Maths is Fun' programme for children from year 1 to year 8 at the HB Williams Memorial Library from 27 to 30th September culminating with a finale party on 1st October. THE 'LIVE INSPIRED' JOURNEY
Lisa Du Fall is bringing together her passion for motorsport and children to make a difference in the lives of as many people as possible. She will be flying to bottom of the South Island in November 2010 and making her way to Cape Reinga in 100 or more creative ways of transport.
The journey will raise money toward a 'dream fund' for children who are sick, disabled or have special needs. Lisa endeavours to raise $15,000 which amounts to a year’s grant for three children.
