Rangers Football club are holding a fundraising quiz night on Monday the 21st of July at the Grove Tavern. Cost is $10 which includes the quiz, a raffle ticket and finger food supper. It kicks off at 7 and teams will be made up on the night. Come along for some fun and to support Rangers Football Club.

Alzheimers Awareness Week
Alzheimers Awareness Week runs from 26th July to 1st August. The Marlborough theme this year is 'Cuppa and a Cupcake' and there will be a cupcake drive selling designer cupcakes made by the local committee in their own commercial kitchen. Businesses and workplaces in the Marlborough area will be canvassed and orders taken for cupcakes between July 6th and 10th. These will be delivered on 28th & 29th July.
Marlborough Girls Brigade Archives Day
The Girls' Brigade is having an 'Archives Day' at the Wesley Centre on Saturday 18th July. If you have old photos, memorabilia and uniforms that you don't know what to do with bring them along to the Centre on the day or leave unwanted Girls' Brigage items at the office at the centre up until the 18th.
Also, this will be the day for anyone who has had a past association with the Brigade to just come along and renew old friendships, record their own GB or GLB story and inspect the archives. The kettle will be on from 10am until 3.30pm.
Blenheim Country Music Club
Blenheim Country Music Club meets every fortnight on a Sunday at the Redwoodtown School Hall at 2pm. Head along and enjoy an afternoon of country music, and new country music enthusiasts are also very welcome, i.e. singers, musicians or anyone with a genuine love of country music. Next meet is Sunday 21st June then 5th and 19th July and fortnightly thereafter.
Netball Camps
Marlborough Netball are holding the following netball camps in July. Year 3 & 4's on Monday 13th July from 9am - 1pm at the Horton Park Netball Courts. Cost $30 per child. Year 5 - 9's (9 - 13 year olds) on 15th & 16th July from 9am - 2pm each day at the Horton Park Netball Courts. Cost $40 per child. TuaMarina/Waikakaho Settlement 150 Year Celebrations
As part of the 150th Marlborough Celebrations, the TuaMarina/Waikakaho Settlement will be celebrating 150 years in 2009. The committee is looking for any photographs, news articles and stories etc. of the last 50 years as well-known writer Cynthia Brooks will be writing and publishing a book titled "Tua Marina Settlement 1859 - 2009". Pam's on Queen Street
Pam's on Queen Street are open 10am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday and 10am to Noon on Saturdays. They currently urgently require good winter ladies and mens jackets, jerseys etc. These can be dropped at the shop or in the Pams clothing bins. Also for sale at the shop are bags of rags and towels.
Marlborough Family Budgeting Service
The Marlborough Family Budgeting Service offer free budgeting advice to anyone who would like to know how to manage their money better. They will work out how much you have available for spending, for food, for petrol etc and how much needs to be put aside to cover all the bills. They also assist with overdue accounts and debt problems. Their office is at Room 3, Community Centre, 25 Alfred Street, Blenheim.
