Waihi Scout Group
Waihi Scout Group is holding an up and coming Te Radar Show.
Tuesday the 7th September at the Waihi Memorial Hall starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets are $25 per person and it includes a complimentary entry drink and finishes with a light supper with a chance to talk in person to Te Radar, while he circulates the supper room.

They have a mystery Bottle Auction at the half time break which Radar is going to draw, and also a Chemist type raffle going on the night.
It's a great opportunity to get the children up close with their hero and adults especially enjoy his witty sense of humor.

Monster Garage Sale
The Otumoetai Sports and Recreation Club (Fergusson Park Matua) is having a Monster Garage Sale on the 16th October.
They are looking for goods to sell.

All proceeds go to support administration costs for all the clubs involved, which are Scouts, Guides, Astronomy, Cricket, Soccer and Kiteboarding.
Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre
The charitable trust ARRC (Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre) needs people to help them care for fledgling birds over the busy spring period.

Women's Charity Golf Tournamnet
The Te Puke Kiwicoast Lions in conjunction with Women's Golf Te Puke, is holding a women's charity golf tournament on Wednesday September 22nd.
To Raise funds for the Cancer Society Lions Lodge in Hamilton.
The tournament is open to all women golfers.
Entry is open to all 18 Hole and 9 Hole Golfers.
Entry fee is 18 Holes - $25.00
9 Holes - $20.00
Lunch is included in the entry fee

The Arthritis Annual Appeal this year will focus again on the difficulties that many people with arthritis are faced with everyday.

Ladies Pamper Evening
Botanical Road Kindergarten is organising a fundraiser for a Landscaping Project.
The evening will be on Wednesday the 8th September from 6.30pm - 10.30pm and will be held at the Historic Village on 17th.
Tickets are just $5.00 and all proceeds of the ticket sales will go to the Kindergarten.
There is a major prize to be drawn on the night for ticket holders and stalls with items for sale wll be Avon, Candles, Chocolates, Nail and Beauty technicians, Massge, Clairvoyant, Jewellery and many more.

Tauranga Volunteer Coastguard Month
September is Tauranga Volunteer Coastguard Month (TVCG)
They will be holding short sharp safe boating seminars in the Bayfair complex on Saturday's and Sunday's (expect boat show weekend 11th & 12th).
Lots of boating handouts will be available.
TVCG are also having a fantastic raffle with lots of prizes. 1st prize being a boat with only a limited number of tickets available.
The month kicks off with a photo competition with the theme being "Sun Sea and Family Fun". 2 prizes each being a family outing on TVCG's 'Tect Rescue' boat. (prize is restricted to winners immediate family only).
Photo's to be handed into Bayfair Shopping Complex Kiosk prior to 2nd September, and entrants must be available for the presentation at 1pm Sunday 5th September (Father's Day)
Conditions are displayed on the photo notice board in Bayfair Complex.

Dad's Day
This Father's Day come and check out Dad's Day.
Held at the Lifezone Church, 19 Amber Crescent, Judea on the 5th September from 9.30am - 12.00pm
This event is free admission so bring along your dad and your whole family on Father's Day.
There will be a display of classic cars, hot rods and motor bikes and there will also be interactive gala type attractions like power-pulling, nail driving, coconut shy, bouncy castle and a smash car (that you can whack with a sledge hammer)
A big blokey type breakfast will be available for $5.00 which includes, sausages, hash browns, eggs or bacon, or the standard sausage and bread for the less hungry.
So come along to have a fun day out for Father's Day.
Homes of Hope - Children's Art Exhibition
Homes of Hope are holding a Childrens' Art Exhibition of the childrens' art they have painted on 2 canvases each under the tuition of Erica Jones.
Their art work will be on display at Creative Tauranga from Tuesday the 14th September till Thursday 16th September - Closing at 5pm.
Artist Mandy Williams is also launching her children's Reward Charts at this exhibition and a percentage that are sold will go to Homes of Hope. Some of the Art works by the children will be for sale at a reasonable cost.
There is no charge for this exhibition but donations to Homes of Hope will be gratefully recieved in the work they do for abused and neglected children in our three Homes in Tauranga.

The SPCA are full capacity with dogs and they're in desperate need of blankets and/or food for the animals. Donations of blankets or food are greatly appreciated.

Tauranga City Sunrise Lions Carfair
The Sunrise Lions Club runs a weekly Carfair every Sunday between 8am and noon at 11th Avenue Carpark opposite the Mad Butcher.
For all types of vehicles - cars, station wagons, vans, 4WD, SUV, MPV, utes, campers, motorhomes, trucks, motorbikes.
Cost is a once only $30.00 with all vehicles photos and details displayed on their website.
All profits made are returned to the community.
THE 'LIVE INSPIRED' JOURNEY
Lisa Du Fall is bringing together her passion for motorsport and children to make a difference in the lives of as many people as possible. She will be flying to bottom of the South Island in November 2010 and making her way to Cape Reinga in 100 or more creative ways of transport.
The journey will raise money toward a 'dream fund' for children who are sick, disabled or have special needs. Lisa endeavours to raise $15,000 which amounts to a year’s grant for three children.
