Pottery Exhibition
The Tokoroa Arts Society is holding a pottery exhibition called Creative Clay, at Rotorua Arts Village, (RAVE) 1240 Hinemaru Street

Children of the Poor
John Paul College's senior drama students present "Children of the Poor'
Nightly 7.30 in the new Edmund Rice Centre from Monday 20th September - Friday 24th September.
The play is funny, gritty, frightening, and intelligent in its observations and the five performances promise to be the same.
Its an experience that will leave you thinking, feeling and hopefully admiring the qualities of rough, physical, 'get your knees dirty' theatre.
Adult tickets $15.00 and Student tickets $10.00 can be purchased at the John Paul College Accounts Office.

It’s a win-win: while cleaning out your cupboards, you’ll also be raising money for a great cause – the major rebuild of the Level 6 Neurological and Medical Specialty Wards at
Starship Children’s Hospital. This rebuild will help improve emotional, social and survival outcomes for critically-ill and long-term patients on these wards. Each year, more than 2000 young patients are admitted to Level 6. More than 100 of those patients stay for six months or more receiving treatment and medical expertise not available in any other centre in New Zealand.

THE 'LIVE INSPIRED' JOURNEY
Lisa Du Fall is bringing together her passion for motorsport and children to make a difference in the lives of as many people as possible. She will be flying to bottom of the South Island in November 2010 and making her way to Cape Reinga in 100 or more creative ways of transport.
The journey will raise money toward a 'dream fund' for children who are sick, disabled or have special needs. Lisa endeavours to raise $15,000 which amounts to a year’s grant for three children.

Trust Building For Sale
The Rotorua Girls High School Childcare Trust recently moved premises, and the Trust is now trying to sell the prefab building that they used to operate from. Coastguard Education Courses
The Rotorua Lakes Coastguard are running a number of 'boating education courses' in 2010. These include 'NZ Day Skipper' for basic boating knowledge, charts, buoys etc... 'NZ Boat Master' which is more indepth...and also a 'Marine VHF Radio Operators Qualification'. All courses are held in the Water Sports centre at the Lakefront. LAKE CITY ATHLETIC CLUB has a summer run/jog/walk series held every second Thursday over the same 3km or 5.4 km flat course

Rego's take place at the Lake City Club rooms, Neil Hunt Park at 5.45 pm with the start at 6.15pm
Adults $5.00; Children $3.00 which includes a post race Sausage sizzle and a drink (wine/beer/soft drink)
EVERYONE WELCOME You do not need to be a member of the Lake City Athletic Club or a fast runner or walker. Since the tracks pass thermal areas of the city, children under 14 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
