Adele to play first NZ concert at the start of next year!
Rumour has it pop superstar Adele will be playing her first New Zealand concert in March 2017.
Newshub has been told there will be one Auckland date on the 'Hello' hitmaker's tour, along with five Australian dates.
Live Nation Australia representatives have reportedly been in New Zealand today finalising details for Adele's show, including the venue.
A spokesman for the heavyweight promoter didn't deny that it'll be bringing Adele Down Under, saying any announcements would be made on its Facebook page and website.
Live Nation, which operates globally, is handling Adele's current North American tour and is believed to have outbid Australasian promoters for the Southern
In July, TEG Dainty stated publicly it was hoping to secure the British songstress as the first concert to take place at Auckland's Eden Park.
Adele's 2016 tour has been a huge success and is expected to earn her over $259 million before the end of the year.
An official announcement on the Australasian dates is expected "in the coming days", a source said.
Given Adele's popularity in New Zealand, her first-ever show here would likely sell-out quickly.
She would be just the latest in a long list of big-name performers heading our way in the coming months, including Coldplay, Justin Bieber and Guns N' Roses.
