There’s been a lot of discussion in a small neighbourhood in the UK after Charlotte Wilkinson posted a picture to Facebook of a note her mother
received from an anonymous neighbour.
The note was slipped through the front door of her mum’s house and read “It is totally inappropriate for this type of garment to be displayed opposite the
village primary school. There are members of this community that would welcome a halting of this. Thank you.”
The note was attached to the pair of underwear which the anonymous writer had taken from the mum’s clothes line.
Charlotte was quick to post a picture of the letter to Facebook with the reply “Seriously the small minded , prudishness of this village is UNBELIEVABLE!!
My mum found this note & her knickers posted through the door this morn ....didn't know there was a law against hanging your knickers on the line?? The
prude can't spell either.”
The response has been largely positive, Facebook users have described it as ‘absolutely ridiculous’ ‘bloody comical’ and ‘unbelieveable’. A group of mums
have even gathered together to make a chain of bunting out of undies to show their support.
The letter is starting to go viral online with hundreds of people sharing the story.
