Zoi Sadowski-Synnott talks being a rarity in the Kiwi Winter Olympic team

Before 2018, New Zealand's Winter Olympic history featured only one medal winner.

But 26 years since the first medal was won in the Winter Games, the drought is over.

That's thanks to 16-year-old Zoi Sadowski-Synnott, who was the first of two Kiwi athletes to win a bronze for New Zealand at the Games this year.

The Wanaka snowboarder, who is still in PyeongChang, picked up her bronze in the women's big air final. And the fact that she's only one of three Winter Olympic winners in New Zealand's history, it still hasn't sunk in.
