Getting married is meant to be the happiest day of your life... But sadly for some couples things just don't work out.
A recent study from the University of Utah has found that people who get married in their 30s are more likely to divorce compared to those who married in their 20s.
The results showed that those who married between the ages of 28-32 had the lowest risk of divorce with those who got married after that having the highest chance of the couple calling it quits.
The researchers think that part of the reason behind the high divorce rate is the fact that by their late 30s people may be less open to compromise. They've come out the otherside of their 1/4 life crisis and are more confident in who they are, meaning they are less inclined to change for others.
The study also found the average age of newlyweds wass 31 for males and 33 for females.
