Cinema bans single men from watching Fifty Shades Darker alone!

A cinema in Ireland has reportedly banned single men from attending screenings of Fifty Shades Darker.

The film, sequel to 2015's Fifty Shades of Grey, has just opened - but guys, if you're planning to see it at the Diamond Cinema in County Meath, best bring a date.

"It's on an 18 cert and I must stress that single men or married men on their own, any unaccompanied males will not be allowed in," says Paul Egan, who records the phone listings for the Diamond Cinema.

He told the Irish Mirror "it could lead to all sorts of temptation with women's hormones flying all over the place".

"It might be better to keep the men outside the door until we see if women can control themselves," he laughed.

"The film is basically porn for women, going on what the distributors are describing to us."

Mr Egan hasn't seen the film itself, which stars Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele. He says he fell asleep during the first one.

The cinema's ban assumes single men would like to see the critically panned film in the first place.
