Ed Sheeran has revealed that he is creating his own boy band
In the interview Ed discusses everything from his heavy drinking habits ("Often, I’m like, 'Is it bad that I drink almost every single day?'") to the people who will remain constant in his life, his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn being one of them.
And in some more exciting news, according to the Rolling Stone interview, Ed is "in the process of auditioning members of a boy band he's creating."
If anyone can do it, it's ED, after all, he did pen some of One Direction's best songs ( "Little Things," "Moments," "Over Again," and "18"), and he also co-wrote Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself." He obviously knows what he's doing in the pop world.
The songs Ed is writing for this unnamed boy band are "really, really decent. Superpop, but obviously credible," he told the mag. "I'm gonna put three or four boys together and do all the songs, take them on the stadium tour with me."
Of course, Ed is referring to his "Divide" tour, where he will travel to Europe, the U.K., South America, and Mexico - we are still waiting for those NZ dates...
Ed Sheeran appears on our new cover. Head to RollingStone.com to read the story in full. In it, we trace his path to superstardom and find out that he really just wants to live a normal life. “I should just enjoy this while it’s there, but not let it become my reality. Because that’s not the reality I want to live in,” he says. Photograph by Peggy Sirota (@peggysirota)
