Whether you want to get into open water swimming, or are looking for added motivation to maintain your fitness or simply enjoy swimming, the Banana Boat New Zealand Ocean Swim Series is for you, it provides a stage to set yourself challenges and achieve your goals.

THE DISTANCES
There are different distances which means there’s the opportunity for almost all ages and abilities to take part.

‘I’m Going Long’ 2.6km – 3.5km
This is a great challenge for individuals who have trained or have swimming experience.
For 12 years old and over.

‘Step it Up’ 1km
This is ideal for those swimmers who would like a challenge but perhaps aren’t quite ready to enter the ‘I’m Going Long’ distance.
For 10 years old and over.

‘Give it a Go’ 500m
This swim is a great introduction to ocean swimming and is suitable for most swimming abilities and ages from young to old!
For 8 years old and over.

‘Banana Boat OceanKids’ 200m
This swim is a great ocean swimming event designed for kids wanting to get into ocean swimming, and for those who can swim 200m in a pool. The course is along the shore (sometimes over their heads) and heavily supported by lifeguards.
For 7 to 12 years old.
