Jackie Thomas Crowned X Factor NZ Winner 2013

Jackie Thomas, the 22-year-old from Greymouth, has been crowned the winner of the 2013 X Factor NZ in tonight's Grand Final.
She bet out third place winner Benny Tipene from Palmerston North, and second place winner Whenua Patuwai from Christchurch, to earn the first ever X Factor NZ title. Daniel Bedingfield also became the winning mentor, ahead of fellow judge Ruby Frost.
Jackie originally began the series with her song 'Skinny Love', with judge Mel Blatt believing that she had "seen the performance from the winner of X Factor."
However confidence faltered and she was soon eliminated from the X Factor NZ competition during the bootcamp.
Daniel Bedingfield was soon to bring Jackie back for his Judges Retreat in Raratonga, and again into his top three towards the final 13 acts.
Host Dominic Bowden revealed that during the X Factor Top 13, Jackie had topped the votes in seven of the ten weeks.
Jackie takes homes a recording contract with Sony Music and a brand new Ford Kuga.
Her debut single, 'It's Worth It' will be available to purchase on iTunes NZ from 10.30pm tonight. Jackie’s album will be released on Friday 9 August, and is available to pre-order from tomorrow (Tuesday 23 July).
