The Rongotea and District Lions would like to say a big thank you to everyone in the district and beyond who supported their Baleage Drive and the baleage auction that followed on the 2nd of April.

Altogether over $25,000 was raised to support the Rescue Helicopter and the seven local schools, they will each receive approximately $3,000  thanks largely to the generosity of those concerned.

The farmers who donated baleage (also hay and a bull calf), local carriers and contractors, sponsors, vendors, auctioneer and those who assisted on the day all helped to ensure that this was a most successful fundraiser.

A very big thank you to everyone involved from the Rongotea and District Lions
