MARTON FIRE BRIGADE OPEN DAY
On Saturday 10 April from 10am to 3pm, the Marton Volunteer Fire Brigade will be holding a Station Open Day. This free event will feature an array of fire trucks and specialist vehicles, activities for children, fire safety information, including a kitchen fire demonstrator, plus the opportunity to talk to brigade members. ELECTRIC BLANKET TESTING
It’s time to make your home fire safe for winter with free household Electric Blanket Testing, this Saturday, 17 April between 10am and 2pm, at the Feilding Fire Station open day. For more information you can contact the Feilding Fire Station on 06 323 4166.

MAKINO ROTARY CLUB
The Makino Rotary Club of Feilding is hosting a breakfast meeting on the 14 of April at the Feilding Civic Centre where Mayor Helen Worboys will be giving her “State of the district” address where she will outline her councils achievements, priorities and future plans. Come along from 7am for a cooked breakfast, tickets are $30 and can be purchased from Feilding Property Brokers. Funds raised will go to the Cactus Feilding Youth programme.

MARTON YOUNG FARMERS BARK UP 2021
Shepherds and huntaways will be taking the stage at the Apiti Tavern on the 17th of April from 4pm for the Marton Young Farmers Bark up 2021, competing for the best bark and agility. TE ĀHURU MŌWAI (THE NEW MARTON PLAYGROUND) - GRAND OPENING
The grand opening of Te Āhuru Mōwai (the new playground in Marton) is happening on Saturday 17th of April at 10am. It's a free event and the whole community is invited. There will be ribbon cutting, music, food carts, face-painting, sausage sizzle and a scavenger hunt. It will be fun for all ages and everybody is welcome!

ANNUAL BIRD SALE
The annual bird sale held by the Manawatu Avicultural Society will be held in the Feilding Civic Centre on the 18 April from 8am-12:30pm. Everyone is free to come along and see these awesome birds from around the country. Entrance is $5 with Children under 15 free.
