Red Cross Refugee Support Volunteer Training
Would you like to support a former refugee family from Myanmar or Colombia as they make a new life here in Nelson?  Learn their culture, make new friends, and make a difference. Henry Ford's All Ford Birthday Event
Come down and celebrate with Ford for the birthday of Henry Ford. There'll be plenty of classic Ford's and new Ford's. The BBQ will be cranking with sausage sizzles available, coffee, raffles, and spot prizes! 
Come down to the Tahuna Beach Holiday Park on Sunday the 28th of July from 10am-2pm. It's a gold coin donation with all funds raised going to the Nelson Tasman Hospice.

Nelson and Motueka Live Poets
There will be two open mic nights where all are welcome to come read or recite original or others poetry of any style.
The two venues are :
Nelson: Tuesday 16th of July at The Prince Albert, 113 Nile Street.
Motueka: Wednesday 17th of July at Armadillos, 122 High Street.
Both events start at 7pm and will be a Koha on entry.

Nelson North Lions Club
If you have spare time and are wanting to be more involved in your community then the Nelson North Lions Club could be for you!
Nelson North Lions Club are welcoming new members to join their small established group that are passionate about providing voluntary services through community involvement.

Nelson Railway
The Nelson Railway at Founders Park are going to have the railcar running daily from Saturday the 6th until Sunday the 21st of July, weather permitting, for the school holidays! 
The first ride takes off at 11am.
An adult ride is $6 and children rides are $4.
Come on down to the station and make the most of your holidays!

Nelson Flat Track Champs Motocross Race
The Leith Mcconochie Memorial Nelson Flat Track Champs Motocross Race is a great family filled event with tons of thrills and spills.
The event runs across the 13th and 14th of July down at Lake Station, St Arnaud, with racing starting at 9:30am on both days.
Everyone is welcome to come spectate and get amongst the thrills of the Nelson Champs.

Brightwater Sprig & Fern 10k Fun Run & Walk
The Brightwater Sprig & Fern 10km fun run and walk is on July 13th. 
They invite everyone to participate and all abilities are welcome!
The registrations and briefing will open from 1:30 on the day.
Walkers and slow runners (more than 70 minutes for 10km) start at 2:10pm
And the main running group will start at 2:30pm.
It is only $10 entry fee per event with spot prizes up for grabs on the day!
Free for school kids & youth students.
Free for Waimea Harriers and Athletics Nelson members

Kahikatea
The Arts Council/Refinery ArtSpace are proud to present an exhibition in support of Nelson Central School and their year 3 & 4 students who are raising funds towards their end of year school camp.
The exhibition will be showcasing around 120 works made by pupils who found their inspirations based on famous artists such as Pablo Picasso.
Prices of the artwork ranges between $5 - $10. But if you wish to, at your own discretion, may support with more.
