This Photographers Charitable Act Ended Up With Her Racking Up A $15,000 Bill

A wedding photo taken in the drought-stricken outback of Australia triggered an outpouring of support for a rural charity after the photographer donated nearly $15,000.

Droughts had caused a huge financial strain on the newlyweds Ingrid Wood and Ross Uebergang in Blackall in western Queensland as Ms Wood's family was forced to remove all of their stock from their 16,000 hectare property

Photographer Edwina Robertson shared this stunning photo on Facebook pledged to donate $3 for every share it received on Facebook in 24 hours
Expecting maybe 1000 shares, the power of social media took over and it was shared a whopping 4974 times!

The photo went viral and Ms Robertson ended up personally donating $14,922. So far, more than $16,600 has been raised after others started donating to a crowd fundraising website to 'Tie Up The Black Dog'

Edwina may be a bit choosier with her charity mechanic next time I think!
