Adele last NZ show: "I don't know if I'll ever tour again"

As the rain poured down on a packed Mt Smart Stadium, Adele belted out a seamless performance on the last show of her tour on Sunday night.

Until now Adele was synonymous with class and perfection, but now we can add ponchos to the list.

Auckland's weather wasn't in tune with the jolly mood of the crowd, intense bands of heavy rain soaking the tens of thousands inside the stadium.

Most were smart enough to wear a poncho to remain at least mildly dry, one poncho wearer telling Newshub it was the best $2 they had ever spent.

We spoke to one fan who didn't get home until after midnight due to train and traffic congestion, but they weren't fazed by the weather or the delays.

"We are drenched. It rained the whole concert. I didn't care, Adele didn't care. That's all that matters."

It wasn't just rain on the faces of Adele and her fans, there were tears too as the music megastar told the audience she's unlikely to tour again.

"Touring isn't something I'm good at... applause makes me feel a bit vulnerable.

I don't know if I will ever tour again. The only reason I've toured is you. I'm not sure if touring is my bag.

Last night's show was the last international gig for Adele, at least for now. Her next shows, and perhaps her last, are at Wembley Stadium in London in June and July.
