Ed Sheeran could quit his music career after 'Divide' tour

Say it isn't so!

Ed Sheeran could be "quitting music" after he completes his 'Divide' tour, with close sources saying he's ready to take a break to live "more normal life."

A source spoke to the Daily Star about Ed's plans post-'Divide' world tour, and the source said said Ed wants to take a back seat, or could even quit music forever.

“Ed has pretty much achieved everything there is to achieve in music," the source said.

“He absolutely loves what he does and is riding the wave of his success at the moment, but at the same time he wants a more normal life.”

Ed recently revealed during an interview that if he became a dad he would most definitely stop touring, so it makes sense.

They went on to say: “When or if he gets married he wants to put his wife and kids first and not his career. If that means going AWOL for years then so be it.”

Ed Sheeran is currently touring the UK and Europe, and already has tickets on sale for his North America Divide Tour with close friend James Blunt. He's yet to announce details for his New Zealand shows but told More FM's Si & Gary that he expects his shows to happen next year.
