The response was mixed when Disney announced their plans to create a live action remake of the Lion King. But regardless what you think of it, it's hard to deny that Disney seem to be pulling out all of the stops to lock in an A List cast for the remake of the classic film.
So far we've been told that James Earl Jones will be back as the voice of Mufasa with Donald Glover set to play his lion son Simba, now Disney has revealed who will be playing the iconic roles of Timon and Pumbaa...
Knocked Up actor Seth Rogen is set to play Pumbaa, the large red warthog...
While comedian Billy Eichner will be playing the meerkat Timon.
The comedic duo are responsible for some of the best songs in the original movie, like 'Hakuna Matata' and 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight'.
So far, fans of the original seem to be happy with the latest casting, but only time will tell!
The film is set for a 2019 release, shortly before the sequel to another huge Disney film Frozen.
