One Direction may possibly be reuniting in the near future if Simon Cowell has his way.
Cowell is wrangling singers to perform on a charity single for the Grenfell Tower disaster, after watching the harrowing footage.
"I am watching the footage of the Grenfell Tower fire in London. Heartbreaking," he tweeted on Thursday (local time). "We hope to confirm a record tomorrow which will raise some money for the many people affected by this tragedy. Making calls tonight."
Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson have confirmed they will record lines for the cover of Bridge over Troubled Water, with Harry Styles and Niall Horan reportedly trying to free up their schedules to take part.
There has been no word yet on whether Zayn Malik will also feature.
More names pledged their support for the track overnight including Rita Ora, Robbie Williams, Leona Lewis and Gareth Malone, according to a Metro report.
Lily Allen, Skepta, Stormzy, James Arthur and others have already been confirmed.
One Direction have been on a break since early 2016, with all four members recently embarking on solo careers.
