Adam Sandler has found himself at the center of controversy after a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show.
The actor was sitting on the couch next to Clair Foy (from Netflix's The Crown) and placed a hand on her leg as he was talking, to which she appears to make a move to move his hand off of her leg.
Viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Sandler's actions, the feedback was split.
One user wrote that Sandler had "no social awareness of how awkward he seemed to be making" the other stars feel.
"Claire Foy replacing Adam Sandler’s hand onto his own knee rather than hers, was the perfect 'haha dont touch me again'" someone else wrote in support.
But others stuck up for Sandler, with one person saying "I think Adam Sandler is actually shy & nervous. He’s not what you expect him to be compared to his characters & that’s okay!"
Claire has recently spoken out about the incident. "We don't believe anything was meant by Adam's gesture and no offence was caused to Claire," a representative for the star told Metro.co.uk.
