The star of The Bachelor NZ's second season has been cast in an international spinoff of the show, alongside contestants from 11 other countries.
Jordan Mauger, who featured in the 2016 season that ended in a catastrophically short relationship with winner Fleur Verhoeven, had already been rumoured to be shortlisted for the show - alongside runner-up Nazanin 'Naz' Khanjani.
The Bachelor franchise founder Mike Fleiss announced Mauger's participation on Twitter overnight.
The Bachelor Winter Games is set to feature "arch rivals and villains" from previous seasons of The Bachelor around the world and promises to "take competitive dating to a chilling new level".
That has piqued speculation around whether Naz could also be appearing on the show, particularly as she teased fans in September with some "exciting news" about a "massive opportunity" on US television, but couldn't say much more.
Fleiss revealed he'd just signed "another sexy star" for the show earlier this month, but wouldn't say who it was, so it's unknown if he was referring to Naz.
Contacted by Newshub in early October, she gave a firm "no comment" on whether the opportunity was The Bachelor Winter Games.
The contestants have been announced one by one by Fleiss on his Twitter account, with the latest being Canadian Bachelor contestant Kevin Wendt.
