Ed Sheeran fans were given a major scare on Thursday when a picture of the 'Shape of You' singer erroneously appeared in an Icelandic newspaper's death notices.
The obituary in Morgunbladid, was actually for 82-year-old Svavari Gunnari Sigurðsson, a mechanic for Swedish car manufacturer Volvo.
There are conflicting reports as to why Sheeran's face was placed there. Some reports suggest it was merely a production error, while one British newspaper claimed Mr Sigurðsson performed as a tribute act to the singer.
Icelanders have since reached out to Sheeran to make sure he is indeed fine - and while he's yet to respond, it's believed he's still very much alive.
It's not known if there will be any apology from the newspaper in the wake of the gaffe.
Sheeran recently announced his engagement to childhood friend Cherry Seaborn, who he went to school with in Suffolk before rekindling contact in 2015.
A wedding date has not yet been announced.
