Fans have been given their first look at the new Charmed reboot, which bids farewell to the Halliwell sisters and says hello to a whole new family.
Charmed, the 2018 version, introduces a brand new trio of witches in the Vera sisters: Macy (Madeleine Mantock), Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Maggie (Sarah Jeffery).
The CW network confirmed the three sisters have their own new abilities, including the ability to freeze time, telepathy and telekinesis.
Initially, the announcement from CW of a reboot of the iconic '90s show with a whole new cast was originally met with controversy. Star Holly Marie Combs was particularly outspoken, telling producers, "don't even think of capitalizing on our hard work".
"Charmed belongs to the four of us, our vast amount of writers, crews and predominantly the fans. FYI you will not fool them by owning a title/stamp. So bye," Combs tweeted in January 2018.
Mark Pedowitz, president of the CW network, says he wants critics of the remake to give the show a shot.
"Hopefully they would give this new cast a chance. It is not quite the same, yet there are many similarities. I can only say to fans: Before you make a decision, watch the series."
Charmed premieres later this year.
