US pop superstar Katy Perry has admitted she might make the move to New Zealand, saying she'd be checking out the real estate on our shores "one of these days".
The 'Firework' hitmaker will be gracing Aotearoa later this month, and says she could even settle here in the future.
"[I] understand why people would want to live in one of the freshest, most lush places in the world," she told Stuff.
However, American Idol judge Perry won't be coming here to live any time soon, saying she would prefer to remain close to her nieces.
Her eye is still very much on the property market in New Zealand, though.
"One of these days I'll probably take time to check out the real estate," she said to Stuff.
If she did relocate to New Zealand, she wouldn't be the first A-lister to do so. Country singer Shania Twain has owned property in Queenstown, and NBC host Matt Lauer owns property near Lake Hawea.
Perry also isn't the first person to wax lyrical about New Zealand's natural beauty, with fellow pop singer Ed Sheeran and hip-hop star Chance the Rapper both expressing their love for Aotearoa.
The singer will be in Auckland for two shows on August 20 and 21, which will be the final concerts on her Witness World Tour.
