The Spice Girls made an official announcement that they are going on tour, with dates being announced for the UK.
And while most of the world burst into excitement at the fact that the biggest girlband of the 90's (and probably ever) was reuniting, there was a little confusion as to why Victoria Beckham didn't sign on.
While the rest of the girls will be throwing on their old sequin outfits, crimping their hair and accessorising with butterfly clips, Posh Spice was said to be skipping out on the tour due to "business commitments".
And while Victoria Beckham does run a fashion empire all while being a mum to her four kids and wife to her husband, something that news.com.au reported on back in 2012 has been brought back to light as the rumoured real reason why Posh Spice isn't joining the tour.
In 2012, the Spice Girls made an appearance at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics and while there, Posh was struck down with a severe case of stage fright.
Sources at the show said she experienced a "full blown panic attack" backstage before their medley.
A source told The Mirror just how serious the situation was:
“Victoria played down the incident but she basically had a full-on panic attack and was in a complete state. Emma was brilliant and gave her a big hug, saying, ‘It’s all gonna be OK, you look amazing’.”
After the Olympics, Posh herself admitted in an interview with Heart FM that she almost didn’t make it on stage:
“I was in the taxi with Emma before we started and I nearly just got out of the car. I was so nervous. I felt sick and Emma was so amazing. Honestly, that’s how you know a real friend. If it wasn’t for her, I would not have been out there.”
But despite Victoria Beckham not joining the girls up on stage, it's true that their 'friendship never ends' after Posh posted a lengthy Instagram post about the girls going on their tour.
