An "excited" Hugh Jackman has touched down in Auckland ahead of announcing his new tour, due in NZ September 6 and 7.
The Australian actor made a surprise performance of 'The Greatest Showman' track 'A Million Dreams' at Auckland's AUT University.
Hugh Jackman said that he saw the video of AUT students covering 'This Is Me' and knew they had to extend their tour to New Zealand shores.
The group of students performed their version of the song in front of Hugh Jackman, with the help of the incredibly talented Keala Settle, followed by an incredible haka.
Hugh Jackman will be accompanied by an orchestra and special guests during his global arena tour, in which he will perform songs from The Greatest Showman, Les Miserables and other moments from his Broadway career – which included a Tony award-winning stint in the lead role of The Boy from Oz.
In a video 'The Greatest Showman' star posted to his social media earlier today, it showed the star standing in the middle of an Auckland street, near the SkyCity Convention Centre, saying that he is 'super, super excited' to be in NZ, before humourously having to move himself out of the way of an oncoming vehicle.
