After the awards poured in for A Star Is Born's hit single 'Shallow', Warner Bros. Studios have announced a special cinematic re-release of the smash hit film.
An extra 12 minutes of film is said to be being added to the original version of the film and it is being shown in multiple cinemas around the world. We don't have any official word on whether New Zealand will get to see the extra unreleased footage, but the studio has been kind enough to release a 40 second clip from the extra 12 minutes of footage and post it on social media.
The footage shows Ally (Lady Gaga) and Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) writing the tune 'Clover' before their enormous Coachella show. It’s a sweet little duet aimed directly at A Star Is Born fans.
"It’s something we can both get over / Oh I still believe in love." sings Ally.
Jackson follows with, "Time goes by / I’ll keep winning, keep losing until I die / Rain falls down."
"And I’ll catch every drop this time around." They sing.
The extra 12 minutes being added to the film is set to include extended performances of the opening number “Black Eyes” and “Alibi,” as well as Gaga’s performance of “Shallow” in the parking lot.
A scene with Gaga's “Is That Alright?” has been added, plus footage of Cooper singing “Too Far Gone.” While these songs both appear on the film’s soundtrack, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, a previously unreleased ballad titled “Clover” will also be debuted.
