Beverly Hills: 90210 is back - but with a twist.
Tori Spelling, who launched her career playing Donna Martin on the hit 1990s TV show, has confirmed what Hollywood rumours have been speculating for months.
In an interview with Access Hollywood on Friday (local time), the 45-year-old was asked about recent paparazzi photos of her and other cast members out getting coffee together.
"It's confirmed," she admitted. "We're doing a new 90210."
The news was met with great excitement from the hosts, who got to their feet and applauded at the news of the long-awaited revival.
Spelling says the new show won't be anything like the 2008 reboot, in which she made a brief appearance as Donna - but it won't be much like the original show either.
"It's not technically a reboot, because I feel like everyone has seen the reboot," she told Access Hollywood.
"We don't want to be the last ones like doing the reboot thing, and no one wants to see like old versions of ourselves, but they do want to see us playing our characters, so what we're doing is the entire cast is playing heightened versions of themselves."
She hinted that the new show would be more of a mockumentary than a straight soap opera, with the cast playing themselves as well as their 90210 characters.
