The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced the arrival of a baby boy.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle welcomed the baby at 5:26am on Monday (local time) - 4:26pm NZT.
The father, who was present for the birth, has spoken to reporters and said the pair were "absolutely thrilled".
"I am very excited to announce Meghan and myself had a baby boy earlier this morning... it has been the most amazing experience I could have ever have possibly imagined."
The baby, whose name has yet to be announced, is said to be doing "incredibly well" and weighs 7lbs 3oz.
"The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives," the pair announced on their Sussex Royal Instagram.
The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have all been informed of the birth.
Meghan's mother, Doria Raglan, is "overjoyed" by the birth and is with the pair.
The Duchess' father, Thomas, reportedly told The Sun that he was proud his grandson would grow up in the British royal family.
"I am sure that he will grow up to serve the crown and the people of Britain with grace, dignity and honour."
The location of the birth is not yet known, but the family are now at their home at Frogmore Cottage, where Meghan had been wanting to have a home birth.
The couple opted to ditch the traditional photo opportunity outside the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital.
Meeting photographers outside the hospital shortly after birth has been a tradition followed by Prince Harry's parents, as well as Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton.
Due to few updates about the baby's arrival, fans over the last month have speculated Meghan may have already given birth.
On Monday, Prince Harry confirmed the baby was overdue.
The family is expected to show the baby to the world within the next two days.
Announcement of the birth has been posted outside Buckingham Palace and a long queue of fans have already arrived to see its.
British Prime Minister Theresa May sent her congratulations.
"Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the arrival of their baby boy. Wishing you all the best at this happy time," a tweet from May said.
