You wouldn't have believed it last year, but David Seymour's "dancing" achieved a top score.
The ACT leader, who last year placed fifth in the Dancing With the Stars NZ competition despite his low judging scores, seemed to have made a difference in William Waiirua's routine this week.
Paired with Willie and his partner Amelia, the trio earned an almost perfect 29 out of 30 for their cheeky quickstep - the highest score for the season so far.

The judges were stunned, with head judge Camillia Sacre-Dallerup saying to Seymour "I can't believe this but you really added to this number!"
"You added bucketloads of entertainment!"
David Seymour told host Dai Henwood off-camera that the one score was higher than the multiple weeks' scores he had combined.
