Disney is preparing to take on internet streaming platforms like Netflix with their own streaming service Disney+.
The entertainment company has revealed their service will launch in New Zealand on November the 19th for $9.99 a month or $99.99 for a year.
Disney is already creating original content for their platform including shows based on their Star Wars and Marvel franchises. Earlier this month they announced a reboot of 'Home Alone' would debut on Disney+.
Most of Disney's animated films like Frozen, Moana and The Lion King will also be available to stream from day one - with more films being added down the track.

- Star Wars: Episode IX
The company says they plan to have more than 7500 TV episodes and 500 movies available to stream by the end of their first year in operation.
