Real-life rescue dogs set to star in live action 'Lady and the Tramp' remake

Lady and the Tramp is the next classic Disney film to get a live-action remake. This one however, will premier on the entertainment company's new streaming service Disney+ later on this year.

People have revealed who the real-life dogs are that will star as both Lady and Tramp. Both of the pups are rescue dogs who have been given a second lease on life!

Monte (breed unkown, but likely a terrier mix) will take on the role of Tramp while Lady will be portrayed by a Cocker Spaniel called Rose.

"We have a celebrity dog in our midst!" the terrier's shelter wrote online.

"Check out Monte, he was adopted last year originally came from Las Cruces. Monte will be starring as "Tramp" in the new live action Disney movie according to this People Exclusive. His adopters say he's been such a good boy and loving life. We are all so happy for him and can't wait to check out the movie when it comes out!"

Fans of the film have praised the dogs for their 'cute' and 'adorable' look.
