A recent Christmas ad by Sky UK shows ET coming home and reuniting with his friend Elliot, who is now grown up and has a family of his own.
The ad has been viewed millons of times and been widely praised by fans of the film...
"Congratulations Sky - you’ve just won Christmas!" one wrote.
"Why would you guys toy with my emotions?" added another.
