After her incredible, award-winning performance in 2018's A Star Is Born, we have been pining to see what Lady Gaga's next role on the big screen will be.

While multiple news websites report that Gaga has been heading back down the music route, an announcement out of her camp reveals that Gaga has been ever so busy with her securing a job on the set of a new film.

Gaga is set to star in a film about the murder Of Maurizio Gucci.

According to Deadline, Ridley Scott will direct the still-untitled film, which is based on the book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.

Gaga will reportedly portray Patrizia Reggiani, who came to be known as the Black Widow after hiring a hitman to kill her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci in the mid 1990s.

Maurizio was the grandson of founder Guccio Gucci. He was married to Reggiani for twelve years, before leaving her for another woman. The pair officially divorced in 1991, and he was shot dead on the steps of his office in 1995.

Reggiani was eventually arrested for her role in the murder, and was sentenced to 29 years jail time. She served just 18 of those.

We can't wait to see Lady Gaga try a different role! We know she will be just as incredible as she was alongside Bradley Cooper.
