The ever-so-humble Pink has given an epic and emotional speech at the Billboard Live Music Summit 2019 after winning the Legend of Live and Tour of the Year Award.
The award is well deserved by Pink we think -especially after she recently detailed the gruelling moments of being on the road and performing for hundreds of thousands while still making sure she is the best mum she can be.
"I have been touring for a long time," Pink said in her acceptance speech.
She then went on to honour her long-time manager, Roger Davies.
“Roger is a master of connection. He is a visionary. He is brilliant and he is good,” she said. “He met me when I was 21 and Missundaztood was about to come out…he listened to my ideas and he listened to my plans.
“He sat me down and said, ‘You’re f**king crazy. But it can be even better than you think. You just have to trust and work really f**king hard,'” she added. “He convinced promoters such as one of the loves of my life, Barrie Marshall, to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars on me.”
For that, Pink apologized but noted how the money “would be made back 10 to 15 years later.”
