Everyone's favourite medical drama 'Greys Anatomy' have revealed they will be covering the Covid-19 Pandemic in Season 17. To make sure the facts are all correct, they will be consulting with the medical teams working through the pandemic so it will be an interesting watch!
Grey's executive producer Krista Vernoff confirmed that the virus storyline will be playing out at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in the next season,
There's no way to be a long-running medical show and not do the medical story of our lifetimes.
She also revealed in an interview that every season they consult doctors to get the most accurate storylines and it is no different for this one,
Every year, we have doctors come and tell us their stories, and usually they're telling their funniest or craziest stories. This year, it has felt more like therapy.
"The doctors come in and we're the first people they're talking to about these types of experiences they're having. They are literally shaking and trying not to cry, they're pale, and they're talking about it as war - a war that they were not trained for."
Even though this is set for the next season, no one knows exactly when that will be due to the pandemic stopping production. However, they are currently working hard on the scripts and have promised to'Keep alive humour and romance while we tell these really painful stories'.
