Sister Act star Whoopi Goldberg has opened up about why there has never been a third film, considering the huge success of the first and second films.
Speaking to RadioTimes, the actress said "I keep asking, but they keep telling me people don’t want it," she said.
"I say, 'I think you’re not asking the right people because people do want it.' I’ll keep asking."
Whoopi is currently a host on the US chat show The View and was set to star in the musical version of Sister Act in London alongside Jennifer saunders - but that has been postponed due to Covid-19.
"I was supposed to be on stage in London with Sister Act, but that’s been put back to 2021. Instead, I’m home in New York. I’ve got nothing going on until this pandemic is over."
Hopefully we see Whoopi return to the big screen as her iconic character Deloris Van Cartier some day soon!
