2020 has been a crazy year for TV host Ellen DeGeneres, there have been loads of allegations of bullying behind the scenes at her hit talk show - but now the star has spoken publicly for the first time.
During her opening monologue of the show's 18th season, Ellen took the allegations head on and spoke about what her team was doing about it.
"I learned that things happened here that never should have happened. I take that very seriously. And I want to say, I am so sorry to the people who were affected." she said straight to camera.
"I know that I’m in a position of privilege and power. I realized that with that comes responsibility and I take responsibility for what happens at my show…"
"We have had a lot of conversations over the last few weeks about the show, our workplace and what we want for the future. We have made the necessary changes. And today we are starting a new chapter."
