Mum sews two 'kisses' on to daughter's jumper to help her feel less anxious

With everything that has happened in 2020, some parents have noticed their kids are a bit more nervous and anxious than usual.

One mum in the UK came up with a clever and loving way to remind her daughter she is always there to support her. The mum simply sewed two 'kisses' on to her school jumper to remind her how much she loves her while they are apart.

After finishing off sewing some new buttons on to cardigans I had an idea." the mum wrote on the Family Lockdown Tips & Ideas Facebook page.

"Our youngest has always had a hard time saying ‘goodbye at the preschool/school gates’ she’s very clingy in general."

"I chose to sew on two little kisses that get fully charged with more before drop off, so that when ever she feels worried/sad that she is missing me she can look at/feel/kiss her sleeve & feel happy again."

"It may last only temporary but for now it seems to be working, smiles all round!"

The sweet idea has been praised by other parents...

"Such a lovely idea full of warmth" one person wrote.

"I usually draw a love heart on my daughters index finger and tell her if she needs a hug then place her thumb on her finger." suggested another.

Creative parenting at its very best - what an awesome idea.
