The Chase host Bradley Walsh has opened up about his health after a health scare earlier on this year.

Bradley was warned that his weight could potentially cause some issues with his heart, so he set out on a mission to reduce his cholesterol and get back into shape.

"My dad, Daniel, died of heart disease aged 59, when I was 33. I had just done The Royal Variety Show, which helped launch my career, but he died two weeks later and never got to see it on TV. And I had it in the back of my mind that I just had to get past my dad’s age." Stuff reports Bradley (now aged 60) as saying.

“People can look really healthy on the outside, but on the inside you don’t know what’s going on." Stuff reports Bradley as saying.

"More than half of it is down to hereditary factors, which is a concern, so every couple of years I go and have a full medical at my local cardiac clinic."

"I was a time bomb. It’s a silent killer. But I was told that if I started training, the cholesterol would drop off. So, the day after my birthday I stopped drinking alcohol because of all the hidden sugars and I started watching what I eat. I cut out cakes, breads and pasta and started eating more fruit, vegetables, salads and fish. And I’ve been taking our puppy, a Shiba Inu called Lulu, out for walk every day, which has been great."

Sounds like Bradley is happy with the track he's on now!
