Home Alone is the next classic film to get a modern day reboot, and by the sounds of it - it might be closer than we expect!
The new version stars Archie Yates (Jojo Rabbit), Rob Delaney (Catastrophe), Ellie Kemper (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Chris Parnell (30 Rock) and Irish comedian Aisling Bea (This Way Up) and Kenan Thompson (Kenan & Kel).
In a recent interview, Kenan spilled on how production on the film has been going.
"It was a long shoot. It started in Canada and got shut down [because of Covid-19]," he said.
"It's been very splotchy as far as trying to get it done is concerned but I think they're getting very close to finishing it."
"I did ADR [automated dialogue replacement] for it recently. That's usually one of the last steps, so it's coming out."
Based on this we might be getting this movie as soon as this year! Some even speculate a potential Christmas time release.
The film won't follow the original storyline to the letter however... "Kemper and Delaney play a wife and husband who, in order to save their home from financial ruin, go to war with a kid (Max) who has stolen a priceless heirloom." a spokesperson has said in the past.
We'll have to watch this space, fingers crossed we get a trailer soon!
