Kate Bush has now broken 3 Guinness World Records for 'Running Up That Hill'

Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' (1985) has not only been a global chart-topper earning her some serious cash, but the 80’s tune has now gone and broken 3 'Guinness World records'.

37 years since its initial release, the song made it back on the charts, all thanks to the latest season of the hit Netflix show ‘Stranger Things’.

Longest time for a track to reach no.1 on the UK's Official Singles Chart: According to the Guinness World Records, the song took 36 years 310 days to reach no.1 on the UK's Official Singles Chart. 

Oldest female artist to reach No.1 on the UK's Official Singles Chart: Kate's age was 63 years and 328 days old when the single climbed to number 1.  

Longest gap between no.1s on the UK's Official Singles Chart: It took 44 years and 83 days for Kate to return to no.1.

Her debut single 'Wuthering Heights' was no.1 in 1978. Now, 'Running Up That Hill' has climbed to number 1.

'Running Up That Hill' was first released in 1985 as the lead single on her fifth studio album ‘Hounds of Love’. 

After the recent resurgence of the song, Kate Bush shared that having the song featured on ‘Stranger things’, the track has been given a “whole new lease of life".
