Chrissy Teigen announces she's pregnant, two years after heartbreaking miscarriage

“I'm feeling hopeful and amazing."

Chrissy Teigen is expecting another baby with husband John Legend.

The supermodel shared the news in an emotional Instagram post showing off her bump, as well as the bruises left from "1 billion shots in the leg", from IVF treatments.

"The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again," she wrote.

"1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way. Every appointment I’ve said to myself, 'ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce; but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still.

Chrissy, who shared the heartbreaking news she had lost her baby Jack to a miscarriage in 2020, said she didn't think she'd ever walk out of an appointment with "more excitement than nerves".

"But so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing," she added.

"Ok phew, it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!"

It's been an intense few years for Chrissy, who made a public apology last year after evidence surfaced of her cyberbullying Courtney Stodden, who was a teenager at the time.

"There is simply no excuse for my past horrible tweets," she wrote at the time. "I was a troll, full stop. And I am so sorry."

Regardless of all that controversy, congratulations are absolutely in order for this whānau!
