Watch: Adorable moment Steve Irwin's granddaughter recognises late 'Grandpa Crocodile'

Excuse me while I bawl my eyes out!

Bindi Irwin has a lot of missions in life, many of them to do with saving wildlife, but one of them is clearly making sure her baby daughter knows who her grandad is.

Bindi shared the heartwarming and tear-jerking moment her 16-month-old daughter Grace spotted the late Steve Irwin in a photo at Australia Zoo and even gave him a wave.

In the clip, little Grace runs down a line of fencing that has posters of the late great Crocodile Hunter - who Grace knows as 'Grandpa Crocodile' along it.

"Do you see him? Is he over here?" Bindi asks her daughter.

"Yeah," Grace replies, reaching out a tiny finger to point at Steve.

Bindi then asks: ‘Do you love Grandpa Crocodile?’ to which Grace replies: ‘Yeah!’

Grace took her time admiring the photos of her grandad, pointing and running back and forth between them before giving him a wave.

"I love you, sweetheart," Bindi tells her toddler before adding: "Grandpa Crocodile loves you too!"

OK, who is crying at this point?! Or is the better question who isn't?

Earlier this year, Bindi told People Grace had been "studying" her granddad by watching his TV shows.

"We have so many documentaries of Dad, and we’re always playing them for Grace,” Bindi said. “It’s so fun to watch her study him."

"I didn’t realise how much Dad’s passion for life and his animated facial expressions — I mean, they captivate her."

Even before 24-year-old Bindi gave birth to Grace, she was paying tribute to her late dad by calling her unborn bubba "Baby Wildlife Warrior".

"My dad was the first person to create the term," she told pregnancy website The Bump last year.

"Being a Wildlife Warrior means to stand up and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.

"I'm so excited for our daughter to grow up learning about the importance of giving back and making a difference in the world for future generations."
