AACACIA enlists the help of Six60 for her new single 'Pictures'

wired 08/04/2021

‘Pictures’ is the third solo release from Kiwi artist AACACIA, and perfectly blends summer pop sensibilities with her signature effortless and soulful vocals, to tell the sun soaked story of falling in love.

The past six months have seen AACACIA land a deal with Universal Music Group, feature on Drax Project’s certified Gold single ‘Firefly’, and release two singles of her own.

‘Pictures’ was co-written with Six60’s Marlon Gerbes and Matiu Walters. Get to know AACACIA below!

Where do you call home? I've lived in so many different places around New Zealand, that for me - home is made up of the people that I'm surrounded by. I was brought up in Taupo though, so that's somewhere I like to call home too.

What's your proudest musical moment? I mean the two biggest ones would have to be releasing my first song because that was a huge milestone for me as I wanted to do it for so long. Then also doing my own set with my own band when I opened for Drax Project - that was a MASSIVE achievement for me.

What's one artist you would love to collaborate with? I would probably have to choose between Sinéad Harnett, Burna Boy, and TEEKS.
