Cassie Henderson burst onto the New Zealand music scene in 2014 on the first season of X Factor NZ, where, as a 14-year-old, she charmed the nation.

Now she is 22 and wow-ing Kiwi music fans all over again with her impressive uniue voice.

Cassie's latest single, ‘Burns Brighter’, written while driving home from Dunedin to Christchurch is an uplifting and empowering “I’ve moved on” anthem. The “I don’t hate you, I’m just grateful…” lyrics encompass being “less about blaming the world and more about moving on and finding the sense of power within yourself.” Listeners are treated to Henderson’s distinctive vocals and acoustic guitar rhythms and the polished electric touches of producer duo, Ambien & Sleo. “Burns Brighter isn’t about romanticising hardship or crediting it, it’s about the strength you have found in spite of it. Everyone has that fire in them, sometimes it just takes someone trying to put it out to make you realise that it can burn brighter.”
