Up and coming Kiwi singer songwriter Harry Parsons is already getting close to some A-List musos at the start of his budding career.

Harry Parsons, who's new single Scars is out now, found himself at Neil Finn's legendary Roundhead Studios, working with the studio’s award-winning in-house engineer Simon Gooding - who played a part in P!nk's latest single 'Walk Me Home'.

“I was so stoked to work with Simon,” says Parsons. “I met him through a uni course when I got to record some vocals for acouple songs. We really clicked and both wanted to work with each other in future, so when I sent my demo through to NZ on Air and got the funding, he emailed me saying he’d listened and was keen as to produce for me! The experience was so fun and natural, both of us getting creative and enjoying the process.”

Parsons has been carving out a name for himself in the New Zealand music scene since coming first place in the national finals of the 2013 Smokefree Rockquest. He has also opened for some big names like Tash Sultana.
