Lepani’s new song ‘Breath’ is inspired by beautiful 'imperfect' relationship with partner

Where do you call home?

I live in Howick, out in East Auckland. But I'm originally from Fiji and grew up in Rotorua, so I call many places my home, because everytime I go back to each place I always feel at home.

What inspired your new song 'Breathe'?

The song Breathe is about my girlfriend, and how imperfect our relationship is, but even so I'll still never stop loving her and I know she’ll never stop loving me.

What's your proudest musical moment?

Up to this point, it would be when I was chosen to be the lead for our year 13 musical Les Miserable. Being able to work so hard rehearsing for months, and then to perform 4 nights in a row, on such a vocally draining show, to me was one of my greatest musical moments to this day. I felt so proud to be a part of an amazing group of talented students and wonderful teachers.

What's a Kiwi song you're loving at the moment?

There are a few great Kiwi songs I’ve heard lately, especially by some new artists that I've met recently, but In the Air by L.A.B is definitely one I'm loving, and I know I'm not the only one loving them.

What's one artist you would love to collaborate with?

Jon Bellion is my all time favourite Artist/songwriter/producer, and to collaborate with him, or even just to spend time soaking in all his knowledge and experience would be amazing!

Where can we find you on social media?

My Instagram is @lepanimusicc and Facebook is just Lepani. I'm also trying to stay hip so my Tik Tok is lepani0. I have no idea what to post, so any and all advice is welcome.
