Marley Sola is a local Christchurch guy, who has grown up around music his whole life.

After successfully appearing on The X Factor NZ, the group Marley was in split, which saw Marley embark on his solo music career.

He has worked with some big names in the Kiwi music industry, including Vince Harder, Aaradhna, Sons Of Zion and more.

Where do you call home?
For me home is where I grew up, Christchurch.

What inspired your new song 'Lift Your Head High'?
The inspiration for ‘Lift Your Head High’ came from a place of learning and adapting to what was going on in my life and in my past. It is about saying that whatever life throws at you to always lift your head high because something good is just around the corner.

What's your proudest musical moment?
My proudest musical moments are when people are filled with joy when they hear my music. I don’t think anything could beat that feeling.

What's a Kiwi song you're loving at the moment?
I’m really loving Benee's music at the moment!

What's one artist you would love to collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate with Kanye West or Lauryn Hill.
