What inspired your song ‘Overdrive’?
It actually started by being inspired by the word, Overdrive. I aligned it to the feeling of when you meet someone for the first time, you have this instant connection like you’ve known them your whole life, it makes your heart skip a beat.
What's your proudest musical moment?
It was performing with the APO, to a full house at the Auckland Town Hall. It has always been a dream of mine to do a show like that, in a room like that, with an orchestra. It was a total honour and I hope to do more.
What’s a Kiwi song you’re loving at the moment?
It’s hard to go past L.A.B’s Controller, it’s everywhere and such a good tune
What’s one artist you would love to collaborate with?
That has to be D’angelo!
